Grades K-5
After school care needs change as children continue their journey through life. What continues to stay constant is parents’ desire for peace of mind knowing their children are in a safe, caring, and welcoming environment. That’s where KidZone at the J comes in!
KidZone provides transportation from school and an afternoon of fun with friends. From playground time to culinary experiences, art, Jewish holidays and celebrations, gymnastics, swimming and more – children enjoy a wide variety of activities in addition to the J’s extracurricular activities offered. We also offer a homework room so that your children can have more family time to spend at home in the evenings.

Time
- KidZone is offered Monday – Thursday until 6:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Fridays.
Transportation
- Our team works closely to coordinate pick up with schools in the area including Beth Yeshurun, Condit, Horn, Kolter, Lovett, Parker and Shlenker.
- If you don’t see your child’s school on the list – contact us! For pick up to begin at a new school, we require at least 3 students.
- The J also offers a transportation only option to bring your child from school to the J for extracurricular activities. Classes must begin by 4:00 p.m. to take advantage of this option. A parent or guardian must be present at the end of class for pick up.
Snack Time
- Children enrolled in KidZone enjoy a Kosher snack each day.
Extracurricular Classes
- The KidZone team can escort your child to any J after school program. Semester-long classes are available – click here for a full list of programs.
Registration
- KidZone offers limited enrollment spots to ensure a quality program and experience for each child. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and rolls throughout the year.

Whether you want to learn a new skill or refine your talents, the J offers programming across the board. Art, theatre, sports and recreation, aquatics, gymnastics, tennis, or something else; we strive to provide programming for everyone, no matter where your passions lie or what age you are.
