An Evening Honoring Former Mayor Sylvester Turner

Join us for a special evening honoring former Mayor Sylvester Turner on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:00 PM in the Kaplan Theatre at the J. The evening will both honor the former Mayor for his extraordinary commitment to our community and raise needed funds to benefit the Meals on Wheels program at the J.

Throughout his distinguished career in public service, Mayor Turner has exemplified dedication to uplifting the lives of those in need, making this occasion a fitting tribute to his unwavering commitment. His own words set the tone for this special evening:

This belief not only reflects his personal approach to leadership but also the mission of the Meals on Wheels program of providing essential support and nourishing meals to homebound seniors in our community. “More than just a meal” is the driving message for Meals on Wheels.
