Chanie is a food writer and photographer with a passion for food, family and tradition. She grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, where she was raised on traditional Jewish foods like gefilte fish, stuffed cabbage and matzah ball soup. When her family grew and she started entertaining, Chanie began to put her own spin on old-time favorites to give them a modern, gourmet vibe. Today, she lives just a few blocks away from her childhood home where she continues to revisit family favorites and reinvent traditional holiday dishes. In her free time, she loves to travel, listen to soulful Jewish music and surf Etsy for some good vintage finds!
