Brody in Roman Polanski’s 2002 Award-winning film). As Hosenfeld rises in the Nazi ranks, he witnesses more atrocities and begins to quietly save about sixty Polish and Jewish people in all. Hosenfeld’s grandchildren delve into his secret diaries while his hometown, a small German village, struggles with a proposal to erect a memorial in his honor.
