Warsaw, 1968. Hania and Janek, two students uninterested in politics, fall madly in love as the city is engulfed in protests against the authoritarian regime’s antisemitic policies and crackdown on civil liberties. But they are soon drawn into the youth uprising with their families on opposite sides of the political conflict. What will happen to their whirlwind romance amid violent social turmoil and police oppression? A dramatic story intertwining romance, history, and politics in communist Poland.
