Book Festival: Chanie Apfelbaum
Join us for a special program featuring popular blogger Chanie Apfelbaum and her kosher cookbook Totally Kosher: Tradition with a Twist! 150+ Recipes for the Holidays and Every Day: A Cookbook in conversation with Riana Sherman.
Founder and creative force behind the popular blog Busy in Brooklyn, Chanie Apfelbaum brings us a modern kosher cookbook with a twist. With more than 150 recipes, this book adds a trendy edge to kosher meals. Chanie’s recipes are playful, delicious and introduce exciting global flavors to Jewish-inspired dishes. She shares meal planning advice, food-prep tips, kitchen hacks, and her favorite pantry ingredients. Chanie’s reach extends beyond the Jewish world, featuring inventive recipes like “Miso Matzo Ball Soup” and “Berbere Brisket. Chanie will demo her jeweled hummus recipe on stage with a reception, followed by samples from her cookbook.
