Experience a night of music, storytelling, and song with the Guy Mendilow Ensemble (GME) and literary artist Regie Gibson. The evening will take you on a journey through Ottoman Jewish cantigas, American Blues, nineteenth-century Ladino tales, and modern English spoken word. Guy Mendilow, an Israeli-born artist, and the GME are considered “an international tour de force,” a cutting-edge collaboration of world-class musicians, writers, orators, composers, and theatrical designers from the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. At the same time, Regie Gibson, a multi-genre collaborator, is a US National Poetry Slam Champion, Italy’s Absolute Poetry Award, and a TED X speaker. Be prepared for an intelligent, thoughtful exploration of what it means to be human, to live, laugh, love and risk.
